How the weather has affected us this year
It is starting out as a wet year. Although the Winter was fairly mild, we have had way too much precipitation. It remains to be seen how early I can work the soil to get things started in the outside growing plots.
July 13: Way Way too much rain this year. I fear we will lose some summer crops if it doesn't dry out fast and soon. The scientists are calling these storms "water bombs". Earlier this week I measured a whole inch of rain in a 25 min. span. At the end of that day we were at 1.5 inches for the day. It has continued through this week with at least another half inch per 24 hours. As the wise man Homer Simpson would say: "DOH"
